dim Ji Shakespeare said, “All the world’s a stage And all the men and women merely players.” Let us imagine that our high school years have been acts in our career, and that we, the Seniors, are the actors. We entered our high school career with a cast of thirty-eight actors. We all felt strange and lost in our new roles, but soon we got into the swing of things. Several of us joined the various clubs, and three of our cast represented us in varsity sports. At the end of the year, all of us had gained invaluable experience and were looking forward to the next year in Milton High. With our second year in high school, everyone gained a great deal of confidence and helped this year to be one never to be forgotten. More of us joined the various clubs, and some were even elected to offices. We were extremely proud to have some of our own members actually helping the teams chalk up victories in basketball, softball, baseball, and track. And just imagine, four of the girls had been cast as leads in cheer- leading. Our year had started marvelously, and continued in the same fashion, for both the Valentine and Christmas Queens were picked from our class. Our Junior year, although we thought it impossible, turned out to be a better one than the two previous ones. A few of our fellow actors had dropped out, but even with a small class, we proved that we could become leaders. Our talents were demonstrated in the music department, and once again, in the sports field. Our class staged two great productions that year: a play entitled “Cracked Nutts”, and the Junior-Senior Prom “The Stork Club”. One of our girls again had the honor of being the Christmas Queen. Under the direction of Mr. Robert Edgerton, our group of players grew in spirit and stature. This year marks the end of our career. Soon we shall be giving up our places in our school life to our successors. Our Senior year is proving to be a spectacular one, in activities and in academic work as well. A lot of us have won recognition, not only locally, but state-wide also. The Christmas Dance, “Christmas in Outer Space”, was reigned over by a Senior girl again. Our Senior Trip, the Dinner, and the Yearbook have shown that we have valued greatly from our experiences in school. We now will be able to take our places as upstanding citizens with courage and a sense of responsibility. Although the end of this acting career is drawing to an end, it is only the beginning of a life in which we can make the most of all our opportunities.
