lDE phony Orchestra, although feeling keenly the loss of. their beloved director, President Daland, gave a creditable concert under the direction of Professor L. H. Stringer. A very noticeably increased interest in the four literary societies has been observed since 1921. lvleetings have been carried on with greater regularity than formerly, and a friendly, though keen, rivalry has existed between them. The four societies recommended that 11 Midsufzzzzzez' Nighfs Dream be chosen for the annual Shake- spearean play. The performance of this play was a pronounced success in every Way. An important step has been taken in the organization of the Student Body. What formerly comprised the Athletic Association, the Oratorical Association, and the For- ward Movement have been merged into a single organization which has taken over their functions together with all of the other student activities, such as the publication of the Review and the Fidcfs. A new institution, the Midwinter All-college Booster Banquet has been originated, and its success in the past two years has insured its per- manency upon the College Calendar. At this banquet, the students divid-e themselves into groups according to states or communities and rival each other in originating plans for boosting Milton.
