YOR 1926 LIM Qlmnmn nt tin' S7221-ann The Mllroy Red Devils opened the season ln the local gym on Friday OCT ZI by defeating the Welnb te rm 26 to 72 A good crowd attended and the game was close from start to fll'llSl'l OCT 30 The local qumtet easlly defeated the Ralelgh boys by a 54 to score The game was at no tune ln Ralelgh s hands On NOV 6 the Red Devxls trekked over to Connersvllle to tackle the fast five of that clty Early ln the game It looked as lf Connersvllle would have thelr way but ln a few minutes the local boys staged a rally and ad vanced the score up to I9 I6 from I 3 2 Although the Red Devlls rallied lt was too late The COHHCYQVIIIC boys won 27 26 lVl1lroy went 1nto camp at Qarthage on Frlday NOV I3 only to be cle leated ln a fast and f xrlous ame b a score of Z8 30 This was one of the hardest fought games of the season On the followmg l'r1day INGV 70 Glenwood came to lVl1lroy to be de feated 77 I0 lVl1lroy had the game ln thelr hands all of the time and scored at will NOV 25 the Red Devlls brought the turkey home with them from Brookville defeatmg them 39 I9 A good crowd attended DEC 4 lVlllroy went to Arlington to play the Co Devlls takmg them down the lme ln a fast ame for a 45 37 vlctory On DEL I I the local boys cllpped the wlngs of the IVlan1lla Green Fly rs defeating them 60 Z7 lVlllroy hut the basket frorn all angle DEC I8 Nlllroy journcved to Carth ge only to be defeated by a overwhelmln score of 31 I0 Thus was one of the greatest upsets of the SCEISOII DEC 28 The Alumm of old M l-l S defeated the Red Devils 48 25 The game was rou h from start to finish AN 8 Playmg completely out of form the Red Devlls were defeated by Manllla on the home floor The final score was 31 to 33 54 - - 0 Q .Q I , L , . , V 2 .. . 43 .
