Athletic Events We started t.he basket ball season with a new team and litt.le practice by playing Lacona. October 20, 1922, on our home court and lost to them by a score of 27 to G. October 27, we played a game with the Liberty Center boys at Milo. This was a good game and resulted in -the score of 13 to 10 in favor of the Liberty Center boys. November S we played a second game with the Lacona boys at Milo. This was a hard and close game with a score of 10 to 8, in favor of Milo. November 17, our game with the Dallas boys was ruined by the rain. We played about n quarter of a game with a score of 10 to 2 in favor of Dallas. November 24 we played a second game with the Liberty Center boys at Milo. This game showed good playing on all positions. We won the game by a. score of 27 to 22. Girls' Basketball On October 20, the Milo Basket Ball Girls started their' season with a new team also. This game was played at Milo and ended witih a score of 28 to 14 in favor of the Lacona girls. November 8, the girls played a second game with the Lacona girls on the home court. Oiur girls easily won this game with a score of 10 to 5. November 17, the girls played a game with the Dallas team at Milo, This ga-me was lost to Dallas by the sqore of 34 to 10. N'0VEIl1lJ91' 24, we played our last game of the season with Liberty Center on their floor. This game was lost by the score of 20 to 3 to the Liberty Center girls. The lack of a gymnasium greatly handicapped our basket ball teams.
