owewwwwwwww THE SKY-ROCKET wweewwwww CLASS HISTORY On the morning of September fourth, 1923, the Freshman elass twenty-Seven strong, found their way into n awe-inspiring assembly of the Milo High School. A feeling ot' nervous anticipation and fear eoursed through our veins. There was no hand to play Here the Conquering Hero Comesng instead, sniclaers and giggles could lie heard from all over the vast. room. This was our Welcome to the long coveted status of a High School student. It was not long ,hon'ever, before we had settled ourselves into the routine ol' High Schrol life. We blundered some, of course, but we observed he ways of the upper classmen and profited thereby. Early in the year we organized ourselves as a class with the following officers: Pres. Mary Beelerg See. l'erl Wolcottg Treas. Bernice llulile. During tl e month ot' January we enjoyed a class party at. the eountry home of Glen llllsup and again, in March, we gathered at the basement of the Methodist Chureh for an evening of fun. Out ot' lueuty-seven in the class six of us have been together sinee our tirst day ot' seluzol. when Miss Sallie Smith undertook the Iilst. steps in our edueatire earrers. Already our elass is beginning to distinguish itself in the school activities. Harry and Bert. Savage are on the basket-hall and base-ball teams. We have several memlders in the Glee Clubs and one 'l'CllliCSClltiltiYC, Fern llisinger in the orchestra. The Freshman class has one other honor, that ot being the first to present a pieture to the High School. We are all determined to bring more honors to the class ol' '26,--ll. I. '26, BERNICE HUBLE, who was chosen as the most popular member of the Freshman class, is admired hy all for her quiet and prim air, her attractive appearance, a11d her superior scholarship. She is a leader in all class activities, vet. possesses a very unassuming manner. Iler pleasing per- sonality has made her every atquaintance a friend. weeeowwl 9 2 Seewwww- 29
