S., was widely scattered, but at last were 'brought together by the four winds, from Oskaloosa, Montana, South Dakota, and Missouri, as well as good old Iowa. Of the twenty seniors, seven started in some of tihe grades of this school, twelve of the remaining began as Freshiesg the other as a junior. In 1919, the following 31 were biilliant young Freshies, Qabove the averagej: James Alnsbez-ry, Marie Balcs,, Bonnie lialxter, Sarah Boelor, Leona Camhron, Vorle Courtney, Perry Cox, Addie Mae Cunningham, Helen Daugherty, Gerald Davey, Opal Fellows, Merritt Gardner, Myrtle Gardner, Henry C. Godlove, Gerald Graham, Margaret Greenwell, Cecil Hook, Gerald Hook, Fern 'J acobs, Martiha Mae lvlanners, Florence Peck, Fae Roe, Arvetta Sandy, Henry Scott, Gail Shoemaker, Gladys 'I:own, Frank Trotter. Mildred W hitlow, Coi-nie Wilbur, Teddy Wilbur and Boi-tinc Van Syoc. Bertine is last but not least for she has kept the highest average during all four yeill'S. With her stand niniteen faithful ones, w-ho have weathered the storms and will finish with her. In athletics, James is the i'Star , although the Senior 'boys are all above the average. Several of the girls play basketball and run in track, Mildred leading. tNaturallyj , Dorothy has taken many tirsts in Declamatory.
