Gregory Manager- George Hoskins Q b , Honorary Captain- Lorin Strout Another November and Piscataquis county 'basketball halls again echoed with the .familiar sounds of the winter pastime. fOnce' more the county schedule was as two-league affair, the northern composed of 'Guilford, Greenville and Sangerville, while we shared bookings with Dover-Foxcroft and Brownville Junction. A.score of'hoop hopefuls reported to our new coach5J Mr. Gregoryg and from this group eleven were slated for varsity berths. They were Billy Houston, John- Hackett, Wallyf Houston, Irving, Polakewichg Jimmie 'Comeau,' Drman tSmithg Donald Hattg Jimmie' Pau1,- Donald Hackett, Robert Page and ,George Harmon: This group was strengthened by HTige' Strout, Ralph Jordan and Galen Carey ati mid-season. Much credit should go to our coach, Mr. Gregory, for his cooperation and fine coaching ability. p, f Qld Town vs. Miloi This was our first game of the seasons It was very well played although Old Town defeated us by a score of al to 19. Many of our boys lacked experience, but we played hard and tried to bring victory to Milo High. High scorer was B. Houston with 9 points. G. Harmon was acting captain. tBrownville Junction vs. Milo 1 x, , This was our first county game and proved to be a successful one. It was very close all the way.The s Panthers played a fine game and proved to be the better team. The final score read 18 to 16 in favor of Milo. High scorer was J. Hackett with 10 points. The captain was B. Houston., Sangerville vsg Milo v H y J we traveled to Sangerville for our next game land de- feated them by a score of 32 to 30. It was a fast and very close game with Milo coming out on top. . At the half the score was 18 to 8 in favor of Sanger- ville, but we showed plenty of fight from there on. High scorer was' B. Houston with 13 points. J. Hackett was cap- tain for this game. J '. '

Guilford vs. Milo The Golden Panthers of Guilford High School came to Milo with a siiegame winning streak. After a close first half they pulled ahead to make it seven in a row. The score was 55 to 28. High scorer was B. Houston with 24 points. G, Harmon was appointed captain. K , Dover-Foxcroft vs. Milo This was our second county game., The Ponies were really Hhotn and defeated us by a score of 62 to 30. During this game 51 fouls were made. High scorer and captain was B. Houston with 12 points. Greenville vs. Milo Our next game was witH'Greenville up there. It was a nip and tuck game until Greenville surged ahead in the last quarter. Most of the boys had, by this time, gained the experience which they lacked at the beginning of the season. G. Harmon was high scorer with 10 points and 0..Smith was Captain. A . Dexter vs. Milo Dexter came to Milo for our seventh game. Up until the last few minutes of play the game was close, then the Dexter boys turned on the pressure and won by the score of L2 to 33.. High scorer was B. Houston with lt points. The captain was G. Harmon, Dover Informals ya. Milo V 71 , - -V ,Yao The Dover Informals came to Milo with some former Fox- croft stars and were defeated by a score of 76 to 27. This was our largest score of the season. Captain and high scorer was L. Strout with 38 points. Brownville Junction vs, Milo Our next game was played with Brownville Junction up there. The Black Panthers played a hard game and won by a score of 30 to 20. For this game we had two new members on the first team, L. Strout and R. Jordan. L. Strout was captain and also high scorer with ll points.
