Feeling that a new realization of the meaning of the Red, White, and Blue of our flag has entered into the hearts and minds of American youth and has awaken in our hearts the memory of the brave men defending it, for war has come again to the World, bringing horror and destruction. Changes come, but may we as students of Milner High School pledge ourselves to hold sacred the traditions of the past, to adjust ourselves to the emergencies of the present, and to prepare ourselves for the eventualities of the future. To serve that country which offers to us a yesterday of which we are proud. a tomorrow towards which we move xvith faith and hope.
