Decisions . . . First hour, second hour, English, mathematics, French and all othei subjects play a large part in occupy- ing the sometimes idle minds of stu- dents at Millwood. Offering the best materials, com- bined with outstanding instructors, students at Millwood are given the opportunity to excel as far as they wish in academic excellence. Of course decisions and academics, or academics are decisions, having to know certain facts for different sub- jects. The role of a student in class has changed vastly over the years, espe- cially here at Millwood. Students in some classes are permitted to work sometimes independently on an accelerated working basis. As in the past Millwood offers the best techniques, instructors, and equipment, to produce the leaders of the future. 2

An idle mind is the devil’s work- shop.” A rolling stone gathers no moss, well whatever, the point is, if you're busy, or involved in something, chances are your time will be put to good use. That's the policy at Millwood. Stu- dents and faculty alike are able to par- ticipate in events and functions not only after school, but often during school. Pep rallys, musical presentations, films, and a variety of other activities give everyone time for relaxation, and change from the ordinary. After staying in classrooms throughout the day, an appreciation for spare time is acquired, soon a student may find himself looking forward to one of those frequent intercom bulletins or even an unexpected fire drill. But soon the day ends at school, and other activities begin at home. 4
