Athletic Council In its second year of operation, the Athletic Council, representing students, coaches, faculty, school board, administration, and community, is working hard to improve conditions affecting sports at M.H.S. Foremost of the accomplishments this year was the joining of the newly-formed Henlopen Conference of 11 Kent and Sussex County High Schools. Of great importance to the Council has been the consideration of ways and means to guarantee that Blue Devil teams are equipped and trained in the very best fashions. Expansion of the athletic program into upper elementary and junior high school grades is a vital part of the athletic improvement campaign. The Council is proud of the fact that it has been able to help secure new equipment and uniforms, considerably improve the financial aspects of the sports program, and improve the general status of varsity competition this year.
