Because these men liave chosen Millsaps as the medium through wliicli to express their devotion to humanity, the college has had tremendous effect in (h ' ei)eiiing and in shaping const ructi ' ely the lives of many young men and wouhmi. There- fore, in iiaying tribute to four great supporters, we do sincere homage to all. With generous bequests ' ) ' land and money. Major E. W. Millsaps realized the long-cherished dreams of intelligent Mississippi churclnnen, assisting them to establish a college in which young Mississippians might receive a liberal Christian education. Webster Millsaps Buie, Sr., and AVebsier Millsaps Buie, Jr. — the latter a mem- ber of the class of 19 ' .]6 — have carried on his efforts and benevolences.
