Chosen to lead their class through the year were: Steve Ottery president: Sandy Anderson, vice-president Georgann Buhe, secretaryg and Karen Iensen treasurer. The officers, under the guidance of their advisors, Mrs. Barbara Strong, Mr. Iean Franceschi, and Mr. Robert Palazzi, had a very successful year. They are now in the process of constructing a class constitution. Receiving the Junior Class rings was a big event for the Iuniors. Some of the Iuniors re- ceived their rings during the latter half of their Sophomore year, while the rest of them received their rings during their Iunior year. Also during the fall, the candidates for the American Field Service Program were selected. The lunior Prom is one of the most important events in the life of every lunior, and this year's dance was no exception. The theme was chosen Elder Edd 1 on a competitive basis The members of the Iunior class submitted names and a committee chose the best one The Winner received a free ticket to the Prom Iapanese Midnight submit ted by Ardie Vignati was chosen The Prom was held in the Girls Gymnasium on Friday April 22 l96O When the evening arrived everyone had a wonderful time dancing to the music of loe Marcellino and his outstanding band. At the end of Ianuary, Steve and his family moved to Chicago, Illinois. The Iuniors had an election campaign and elected Brad Schiller to the office of President for the rest of the year. Brad, along with his officers, advisors, and com- mittee chairmen Cathy Vtfhite, decorationsg Ieff Cabral, refreshments: Bose Galante, tickets and bids: Sarah Dowell, publicity: and Sandy An- derson, clean-up, helped to make the lunior Prom a dance that will long be remembered.
