The End and the Beginning-Diplomas Our two wonderful years at Mills High are now just a memory. In our lunior year many important decisions were made as our school was just begin- ning and many traditions and procedures had to 5 'Yue STEVE PETERS Senior Class President be established. The first slate of class officers in- cluded Sharon Dietel as president: Don Phaff, vice- president: Kathie Blackman, secretary: and Ralph Benson, treasurer. Arguments over our class ring ended with the selection of a Viking figurehead symbolizing the newly selected mascot of Mills High, Margareta Soderberg, our AFS student from Sweden, was able to join us in her senior year be cause of funds raised in our work week. But work was balanced by play on April 24th when Dream- ers' Holiday, our Iunior Prom, was held at the Green Hills Country Club. And memories of that night include the non-union musical organization composed of faculty members who made it possible for the show to go on when the band failed to make an appearance. The senior year activities were in the hands of Steve Peters, president: Bob Buscho, vice-president: Pat Nielson, secretary, and Tut Wynne, treasurer. Highlighting the year was the night of March 4th when the Senior Ball truly became A Night to Remember at the California Country Club. These two successful years will be climaxed at the grad- uation, a time when many of us will acknowledge the efforts of the class advisors, Mr. Gaylord Cole- man, Mrs. Ioan Crozier, Mrs. Eleanor Eagan, and Mr. Richard Storer.
