Class History of 1989 Well, here wc arc the class of 1989. It's June 8th, and it’s hard to believe that this is one of the last times we’ll be together as a class. This evening at 6:30 we'll be concluding our timeless and memorable journey through the Millis School System with our long awaited graduation. We have left many marks and made many memories that will stay with us for many years to come. It all started 13 long years ago in the year 1975. As we look back on the hazy sandbox years, the few memories we could recall were Kristian Carlson's newly acquired taste for arlroom paste, and Alexandra Ncitlich and Cassandra Hunt started boy watching at an early age in the boys' bathroom. As we started 1st grade, there was no turning back. Wc began our first year of full school days, thank God for the 2 recesses, in which we usually found Cassandra Hunt chasing Phil Cebrowski. “Melvin the Magnificent gave us a chance to try a bit of show bix. with scott Nichols as Melvin the magnificent clown. We still think you arc a magnificent clown Scott! This year wc gained Chris Fagan, only to lose Bob Martellio. Never fear, he’ll be back. This year wc welcomed Elizabeth Warren. Laura Dwclley. Tom O'Neil and Pamela Cronan who over came her shyness and show ed us her teaching abilities when she substituted for Ms. Bergen. Ms. Bergen threw up on the way in from recess. David Thurston will never forget the time Lisa Johnson stabbed him with a pencil in his arm. In 3rd grade we made our move to the Memorial School. We had graduated from cloakrooms to real lockers. This year brought us Michael Brown, Raymond Welch, and George Welch. Although they were a great addition to our class, wc couldn't quite make up for the recess wc lost in the transition. 4th grade was the big year for square dancing. Did anyone really like their partner? We were also given the privilege of playing an instrument and singing in the chorus. Who could forget our first singing experience in the 4th grade concert. In fifth grade wc welcomed Heidi Burns who will never forgej her first day in Millis, when Ronnie Anderson called her gorilll cookies. Mr. Ford's 5th grade economic unit had it’s ow n mafia, a her; lae Casucci decided to go into his own independent real estate. 6th grade was the year of our first over night school trip u Thompson's Island. Wc arc still wondering if Fred John son got seai home because he stole the puppies, or because he claimed to havi seen Alexandra Ncitlich's underwear. In 7th grade. Derek Everett and Krista Hankin were added u our class. Who could forget Mr. Dodge's english report when cvenoa researched Michael Jackson. 8th grade was a big year for all of us. We had finally made it n the top of the ladder in the Middle School. 8th grade dar.ee brought us a new style of dance when Kristian Carlson. Pete Sillctti. Scan Fitzpatrick. Tim O'Neil. Eric Johnson, and Miki Rousseau preceded to show us their break dancing abilities. Aim Thistle and Eve Bello had their own form of “breaking in tin science lab. This was also the year of our last field day. w hich was a memcra blc one for Heidi Burns, when running 100yd dash, tripped eve Lisa Cunningham, falling into the gravel. But she regained he confidence only to find herself in the same position after trippinj over the hurdles. Our horizons were also expanded by venturing out to Washing ton D.C. Jen Levy and Aimie Thistle w ill never forget they had u call Mr. Hinds in to their room to rescue them from their overflow- ing toilet. We welcomed Dya Khalsa, Erika Birch. Jen Stew art. Eric John- son, and Justine McGrath. Many of our classmates left us to attcac Tri-County or Xaverian. Our freshman year was the beginning of our high school c c! and began one long year as lowly freshmen. We endured ridicule
