To The Class of 1982: I congratulate each and even.- one of you on your successful completion of this phase of your educa- tion. A high school diploma, although noteworthy, is only a beginning. It reflects an achievement of those skills necessary to pursue further academic or vocational accomplishments. Not always does it re- flect the qualities needed for future success. Qual- ities such as desire, hard work, perseverance and a willingness to devote the same energies to those tasks which are less appealing as you would to the tasks which you delight in accomplishing are ex- tremely important and will earn. you far in this world.
