To The Class of 1982: I congratulate each and even.- one of you on your successful completion of this phase of your educa- tion. A high school diploma, although noteworthy, is only a beginning. It reflects an achievement of those skills necessary to pursue further academic or vocational accomplishments. Not always does it re- flect the qualities needed for future success. Qual- ities such as desire, hard work, perseverance and a willingness to devote the same energies to those tasks which are less appealing as you would to the tasks which you delight in accomplishing are ex- tremely important and will earn. you far in this world. My best wishes go with you for a successful and happy future and may education always remain foremost in your mind as you continue to develop the talents to meet vour individual successes. Sincerelv. PAUL A. BRUNELLE Principal To The Class of 1982: Every graduating class possesses a unique quality that is inherent to that particular class. This quality is expressed both collectively and individually. The Class of 1982 has expressed the qualities of sincerity, cooperation and dedication of purpose. Upon receiving your diploma, it is my sincerest wish that each of you will carry forth fond memories of your years at Millis High School. Sincerelv. JOSEPH . ARCUD1 Assistant Principal

SUPERINTENDENT AND SCHOOL COMMITTEE TO THE CLASS OF 1982: Much is being written today about the issue of a vocation- a) technical education vs. a general libera I education. The demands for specialized training today in the tech- nology field are so strong that the very existence of a liberal education is in jeopardy. Whether one enters the world of higher education or the work force, one must be ever mindful of the qualities of a liberal education which our society must have. At the very foundation of any education is the ability to read, write, speak, and compute effectively. 1 am confident that you have received that foundation in the Millis Public Schools. Use it to the best of your ability, because the knowledge you have gained is essential for resolving life's problems. Mv best wishes are extended to each of you for a happy, successful future. Sincerely yours. William A. Vellante Superintendent of Schools MILLIS HIGH SCHOOL MILLIS. MASSACHUSETTS 02054 l. to R Front Row: R. Healy. Secretary: W. Alessi. Chairman: Standing: D. Mundy; E.
