LANGUAGES As our world keeps diminishing in size, the need for competence in foreign languages becomes more acute. With the addition of Spanish to our curri- cula and the expansion of the French and Latin programs, our school is doing its utmost to meet this need. The English department fully realizes that a thorough knowledge of grammar not only is important in itself, but also is requisite to the successful learning of a foreign language; it there- Rie as fore strives to develop skill in communication as Daly well as an appreciation of literature.
