YESTERYEARS AT M.U. Under the leadership of co-chairmen Sue Lindholm and Darryl Clausing, Homecoming 1962 was a great success. Built around the theme Yesteryears at M.U., homecoming week was full of fun, surprises, and renewed acquaint- ances. The week ' s activities began with an enthusiasm-raising, side-splitting chapel. While upper-classmen worked hard on float decorations, the freshmen tried in vain to win the traditional Freshman-Sophomore games. Friday night we all went West as the Homecoming show presented Change in the Range. This year ' s show was a musical comedy contrasting Millikin as it is with Millikin as alums might expect it to be. The bonfire and pep rally followed. Standing in pouring rain, all cheered as Jan Steinheimer was crowned queen by Dr. Paul McKay, president. Saturday morning the homecoming parade presented students, alums, and townspeople with bands and a great variety of floats. Saturday afternoon an enthusiastic crowd watched the Big Blue beat North Park for its first win of the season. The weekend was climaxed Saturday night with the annual Homecoming Dance, with Les Elegart and his orchestra providing the music.
