Campus Chest Millikm ' s 1959 Campus Chest Week was a social and educational success. Tom Forester was awarded the Ecumenical Work Camp Scholarship, and funds were donated to the National Scholarships and Service Fund for Negro Students and to World Universi.tY Ser- vice. Co-chairmen Sandy Bertash and Barb Butler stressed the educational aspects by bringing representatives from each of these organizations to speak at chapel. The social highlight of the week was the live jazz concert— the first of its kind on the Millikin campus. Bob Scobey ' s Frisco Jazz Band featuring vocalist Clancy Hayes pleased a crowd of over 500 with two hours of rollicking San Francisco style jazz. Other events includ- ed a carnival, The Big Top, and a Campus Chest Candyland dance. Alpha Kappa Lamb- da won the trophy for raising the most money at the carnival, and Tau Kappa Epsilon ' s Bryce Boston was crowned Mr. Campus Chest. Cha, Cha, Cha. Bob Scobey entertains « 2S
