Foreword A Millikin year means a happy year, a busy year it is true, filled with things worth while, and most of all it means a year of friendships formed to last after college days are but a memory. For us who have lived such years there have been so many opportunities for expression of high ideals and for developing a wider vision, because we are bound together with a sympathy and understand- ing impossible in larger institutions. It is the personal basis of the relationship between the stu- dents and faculty, among the students themselves, the inspirational friendships thai do not wail on privilege or prestige but ai - e possible to all, that makes the Millikin we love. If we have been able to bring to life some of this spirit in the following pages we will have fulfilled the purpose of the Millidek of 1924
