For some students this is a four-year history: for others a shorter one. In spite of all of the work which goes into an annual history, however, many worthwhile ex|ierienc« are not recorded, nor even imagined. Somehow the Toll iistoxk historian is handicapped In--cause of the short span of lime and by the intangibles which result from college. How can he predict or record that which achieves maturation from twenty to thirty years after college? And such is the situation in regard to the personal benefits achieved from the mastery of a rigorous college program. For teachers, however, personal benefits are not the onl realizations of a college experience. To have acquired a desire to serve in society’s first profession, and to have used four years in preparation for the task is an enohling experience which usually results in a change of purpose.
