DEDICATION four years ago Mr. Charles I. Kent accepter! the position of associate professor of English at our college. A such, he taught freshman English to many of the present seniors. Through his instruction many of them were familiarized with the intricacies of English grammar and composition. and the art of fine speech. As they advanced through college and assumed more responsibility, Mr. Kent did likewise. Although still a familiar sight in the classroom, he has become better known to the students as Director of Student Personnel ami Guidance. His responsibilities now include: providing faculty advisors for all students, maintaining student records of individual and group co-curricular affair as well as those pertaining to awards and employment, and providing information of scholarships, loans, student employment, and personnel matters. As advisor to Student Government. Mr. Kent and that group co-ordinate and schedule all co-eurrieular activities and establish a program of orientation for the freshmen. Because of his interest in the students and their problems. Mr. Kent is admired as an understanding counselor and friend of tin- students. In appreciation of the services he has given and in anticipation of the guidance and inspiration he will continue to offer, the editors of the 1958 Touch-stonk dedicate this book to Mr. Charles I.
