To the traditional Hum of get-acquainted parlies, dances, initiation lineups and dink troubles BOB inendxrs of tin- Class of 1958 enter ! Millersville in the fall of 1951. Class meetings enabled the newcomers to solidify their ranks and a semi-formal dance. “Circus Daze.” gave the group its first opportunity to contribute to the college’s social life. As sophomores the Class of 1958 made added contribu-lions to tin: social atmosphere of the campus and began to take over (roeitions of importance and responsibility among the many organizations of MSTC. In 1956 the girls of the class worked smoothly !• make the big-little sister program a real success. Biggest social note of the year was the Junior Prom in November to the theme of “Autumn leaves. Last fall as seniors the class found that 276 members. 150 of them from the original group, were reads for the final year at Millersville. With student teaching, tin- Senior Ball in April, and the usual mud rush of senior year activities highlighting the Millersville picture. Commencement on May 26. 1958 gave the proper solemn ending to the history of the Class of 1958. Mixed emotions invaded the feelings of many a senior: joyful to be graduating, yet sad to be leaving the old college campus. In many ways, the last year proved just as difficult as previous years. Student teaching was the initial step into the professional World by the cap and gown set. 22
