TO THE CLASS OF 1969: Until this time your lives have been planned to a great extent by parents and teachers, but soon you will enter yourselves into the adult life. It is my hope that you have acquired useful knowledge, sound virtues and good habits so you will be able to achieve the goals you have contemplated for life. Superintendent This is the silver anniversary for the Susquehannock. For the last twenty-five years seniors, like this competent staff, have labored and utilized their ingenuity to produce a published record of their school experiences. This challenge has again been admirably accomplished. Every need is a task for someone. Each of us can do something which must be done, lest it go undone and the world be poorer. Perhaps no program is greater than that of helping others to see the needs and to know their own abilities to meet those needs, and helping them to develop the motivation that will make them great. If the statement of the sage be true that education is not causing a man to know what he does not know, but causing him to do what he could not do, then we should check to see if we have been educated. Granted great motivation, great deeds will surely follow. There is plenty to do in this world and there is a place for you to make it better for posterity.
