Supervising Principal TO THE CLASS OF 1963: As you draw near to the end of your public school education, it would be wise to review and to evaluate the years that you have spent in school. The review of that period in your life is recorded to some extent in this Yearbook. Many of you will recall specific incidents with pleasure, satisfaction, and perhaps with envy and sorrow that there can be no repetition of these days. There is little doubt that most of the past twelve years have been enioyed by those of you in this class, this is of great importance, however, if there has been no benefit to you, then you have failed and we have failed. These ex- periences, therefore, must be considered as individual since each of you will react differently to any given method of instruction or to any given instructor. What has happened to you in these years of school? What benefits have come to you? Are you now able or better able to make a living or to take your place in our society? Each of you has changed, developed, grown and, I believe, benefited from public school attendance, however, the degree of that change, development, growth and benefit has differed. This is the unique feature of public education in that all are subject to the same environment but that in the end the results vary, the answer or reason is evident, you are individuals. As you leave our best wishes go with you, we hope that we have helped you and that you helped us. W. Edward Sheely
