F.F.A. During the 1964-65 school year the FFA engaged in many activi- ties. In the summer they took a trip which included stops at Gettysburg, Pa., Washington, D.C., New York, and the World ' s Fair. Shortly after school started they took a trip to Chicago to visit O ' Hare Field, W.L.S., and the International Livestock Show. Later on they went to the Farm Progress Show. In the spring they went to Maumee, Ohio to visit Andersons, Inc. and also to Detroit to see Ford Motor Co. , Ford Tractor Division, and Ford Museum . While taking the above trips the club traveled over 4, 000 miles. During the year the Judging teams competed at the state level in Soils and Crops. The Millersburg Sunshine Society this year had 48 members, each of whom chose a local woman to be her Ideal Lady. In the fall, 14 freshmen were initiated in a ceremony at the Eighth Street Mennonite Church in Goshen. Following this, a tea for Mothers and Ideal Ladies was held. Millersburg was represented by a bus load of SSS girls at the district convention at Ossian in October. As in past years, the Society elected Mr. Personality from candidates nominated by each class . The honor this year went to a junior, Tom Brock. The Society, always an active group, took cookies to the Bashor Chapel Home at Christmas time and sponsored the Homecoming Dance on February 13. The annual Sunshine Dance Lodge with Paris in Springtime as its theme. The final events of the year were the State Convention at Madison and the Mother ' s Tea in the Spring.
