For the past nine months the Sophomore Class of Millersburg High School has been working hard to earn money for their upper-class expenses. The class sold Christmas cards and gelatin desserts. The card sales amounted to 5824. The class was divided into two teams with Paula Rippey and Victor Vir- gil acting as captains. Pau1a's team sold the most cards, so Victor's team gave a party for themin Decem- ber The Sophomores were active in many organizations in school. Two boys played on the varsity basketball team, and three on the second team. Many of the girls were in Sunshine and the Pep Club. Several boys were in F.F.A.. Chair and Canvas Crew, and baseball. The class members are looking forward to a successful Junior year.

Many of these are active in the organizations at Millersburg High School. Representatives in clubs are: Sunshine Society, 7g F .F .A., 5: Girls' Glee Club, 4g Mixed Chorus. 3g Millerette Staff, 7g Pep Club, 15. There are '7 boys on the second team in basket- ball, two having made the starting five. We also had 4 on the baseball team. One girl from our class was chosen cheerleader. Burnell Mahler and Ron Stump are Freshman representatives on the Student Council. We chose for our class motto, Don't Follow the Parhg Make One. Our class colors are royal blue with white and red trim. Ten members ordered class sweaters in these colors. Our first class party was held on October 22. We went on a hay ride to Goshen and back again to the school house for refreshments. Two other parties were planned for the year. I F 3 l J s
