With Miss Briscoe as adviser, the 1952 Rustler staff worked during free periods and after school, in addition to the three regular Class periods each week, to complete the material in time to meet the dead- line. All staff members have specific duties for which they are trained. The Rustler staff was represented by six members at the SDHSPA meet- ing held at Brookings, October 20, 1951. Pat Campbell served as presi- dent at the jimmissouri district meeting held at Miller.

The Future Homemakers of America, consisting of girls who have taken or are taking homemaking, are under the guidance of Miss Sickles. , There are three degrees of achievement for active member- ship: junior Homemaker, Chapter Homemaker, and State Home- maker. The aim of this organization is to make the homes of America better and life in these homes more pleasant. A Marjean Diede, pictured at right, attended Western Training School of FHA in june, 1951, at Estes Park, Colorado. She is the first girl from Miller to attend a national FHA meeting. .,gg, 1 .
