The 1951 Miller Rustler football team experienced a very successful year. With eleven returning
legrmen and other capable players, Coach Bob Schroeder developed another C. S. D. C. championship
team. 'Ihe only conference game in which the Rustlers did not achieve victory was a tie with Mo-
bridge , 13-13.
The top game of the season occurred when Miller met the powerful Faulkton Trojans, with the
Rustlers emerging victorious by the score of 13-0.
Graduating lettermen are: T. Hines, D. Sutton, R. Fawcett, j. Lewis, L. Wangsness, B. Hooges-
traat, M. Deuter, V. DeRouchey.
Coach Henrickson's B team showed the will to play good football, defeating Wessington Springs
14-7, while dropping two contests to Redfield by the scores of 20-15, 12-0-
Miller may look forward to a fairly strong team next year with twelve returning lettermen.

The Rustlers, built around a core of five returning
lettermen, had a very successful season, with a record of
sixteen victories and five losses. In conference play,
Miller tied for first place with Onida, each team having
won seven games and lost one. In the sectional tourney
at Winner, the Rustlers defeated Winner in the first round
but lost to lluron 51 to 58 in the second round.
