MILLER MEMORIES 1964 VOLUME I PRESENTED BY THE FIRST GRADUATING CLASS OF MILLER HIGH SCHOOL HEMLOCK, - OHIO DEDICATION We, the first graduating class of Miller High School, dedicate this year- book, MILLER MEMORIES, to our parents and to all persons who were respon- sible for giving us the opportunity to gain more knowledge through modern facilities and surroundings. Miller High School will be a cornerstone of our culture. Here at Miller we receive preparation and inspiration for the day we assume the role of citi- zens. We thank you for the opportunities we have been given and we offer this dedication as a tribute of our love and appreciation. KENNY NICHOLAS In Chemistry Kenny knew all the facts. Now he can't figure his income tax. JAN SANDS Jan is engaged, He works at the Deshler Hilton as a page. NANCY BEGLEY Nancy Begley is married too. We hear her husband is well-to-do. DONNIE MANRING Donnie is now quite a guy. His flying saucer zooms through the sky. GEORGE MATTIS George used to talk all the time, Now all he says is will you be mine. JUDY MYERS Our aspiring young beautician. Wants to marry a mortician. NANCY LUCAS Nancy now works at Essex Wire, She's keeping her husband who's retired. TEDDY KADER He used to hunt squirrels, Now he chases girls. CARLO HERMEY Carlo Hermey the guy with the charms, Is always waiting with open arms. JUDY WILSON Judy's love-life seemed awfully blue, Until she entered O. S. U. TANA MAXWELL The girl with the smile, Is waiting to walk down the aisle. PHIL MERCKLE The guy who's sometimes stern. Now has his own construction firm. ROD PARSONS The guy who's really slim, Now punches cards for I. B. M. SHARON NUTTER Only we know the truth about Sis, You just don't know what you missed! LOIS HEARING The little old cookie baker, Now takes shorthand for Newlon Foraker. NED ASHBAUGH Ned, God’s gift to the ladies, Is now employed sitting with babies. LARRY BABBS Larry Babbs has become an architect, He'll build any house you select. SHARON SPERGIN Who lives in the hills. Is now a doctor and cures people's ills. MICKEY BARRETT She finally had luck, She and Bob now live in his truck. BOB McCORMICK The boy who lives on a farm, Now cuts hair in his big red barn. BOB BURLEY He wished to be a fighter someday. So now they call him Cassius Clay. SARAH BRUNTON Sarah is now with the Listerine Firm, She’s stamped out the pneumonia germ. LUCY JOSEPH Lucy is married and lives in Shawnee, Her six kids’ keep her busy as a bee. TOM DAVIS Tom uses all the strength he can muster, Because he's now a senate fili- busterer. JERRY HINKLE Who wrecked his car, Is an astronomer, watching the stars. RITA EMBREY Rita was always quite shy. Now she 's married to a nice guy. LINDA COX The little girl, with the big blue eyes, Now makes her living selling pies. HAROLD ESSELSTEIN Harold, who farmed the soil, Now plays for the Cincinnati Royals. VIC CAVINEE Vic, most famous of lovers. Is married but flirts with the others. YVONNE PRESTON Yvonne doesn’t think it a crime. To be married to three men at one time. LINDA KELLER With her gigglish ways. Is now a fashion model making good pay. JIM WALPOLE The Don Jaun with a brain, Now does dances to make rain. VICTOR JACKSON The industrious one, Now manufactures bubble gum. GLENNA PRITCHARD Glenna was always the quiet girl, Now she's married to an Earl. PEGGY SIMPSON Peggy has married her Army man. She 's now in Florida getting a tan. TERRY PEYTON Terry races in the Indianapolis speedway, He is favored to win the 500 in May. JOHNNY GRANT The country boy, Lois D. is his pride and joy. BARBARA FOUNTAIN Our school swinger, Is now a famous rock’n roll singer. GEMMA MAROON Gemma has joined a bowling team, As high scorer-she’s really on the beam. LARRY MAROLT Larry, our round man, Raises his family as best as he can. DANNY PARKER Danny has struck it rich. He is one of the singers on Mitch BETTY SPENCER Betty Spencer is a swing singer today, Soon she’ll be competing with Doris Day. PAM STEEN Pam Steen is a very fine cook, Let's hope she doesn't lose her book. DAVID PARKER The boy with no car control, Is now sergeant in the Highway Patrol. DANNY ALTIER Danny's wells made him money. But they didn't find him a honey. SANDY SEALS Sandy is teaching at Miller we find, Her pupils drive her out of her mind. MARY JANE MOSIER The girl who went with Paul, Now plays piano in Carnegie Hall. PAUL WHITE Paul is now married to a pianist, By certain people he will be missed. GARRY McGOWAN The Senior Class charmer. Is making his living as a dirt farmer. SANDY FERGUSON SMITH Our Congo gal, Lives on a farm and herds her cows. PATSY CONLEY Our little trained nurse, Is nursing Mike for better or worse. JOEY SWARO Who lives in Drakes; A lot of money he makes. JOHN SZAKAS The guy who’s the Navy bound sort. Now has a girl in every port. LUCRETIA STICKDORN Lucretia is working in our capital city. But Gary is still her main activity. CAROLYN STARNER To her column people send many questions, She always has a helpful suggestion. ROBERT SPENCER Robert, a genius heaven knows, Is selling refrigerators to the Eskimos. BILLY FRAZIER This boy's name is Billy Frazier, He makes a living testing razors. KAREN GILL Our gay little girl, Is still keeping the men in a whirl. GOLDIE LENGYEL There was a girl called Goldie Lengyel, She made a fortune writing jingles. WAYNE HARTMAN Wayne is a success, this is no joke. Now we know he'll never be broke. BETTY JO WEST This quiet dollie, Now stars in the ice follies. LINDA HAMILTON Linda is married and living in Illinois, She and her husband now have six boys. JUDY BRAGLAN Our hillbilly belle. Spends her time keeping Dan out of jail. DANNY PRYOR Danny is married to Judy, He 's in the Army and on K. P. Duty. MIKE HUGHES A very rich man Mike has become. He spends his money on chewing gum. RITA HUNTER Rita is now yelling up-two-three- four. Her troop is the U. S. Marine Corp. SUE AICHELE She wanted to be a housewife, All she says now is; What a life! DUANE BOLYARD The guy called Slick , Now manufactures candle wicks. CLIFF REEVES Cliff Reevgs, a machine mechanic, Is slowly driving his bosses frantic. MYRA HARTBERGER Look where Myra's cheerleading led. She's now a teacher of Phys. Ed. BONNIE McGRATH COLVIN Bonnie is now the mother of four, Heaven hope she doesn't have anymore. BILL REYNOLDS Bill Reynolds is a sad case. His 17 kids lead him a mad chase. GENE BORING Who's engaged to be married. To the church he'll have to be carried. GAYLAND MORGAN Gayland has her own show onT. V. Tune in to see her nightly on N. B. C. DONNA HAMRICK Donna Hamrick who likes to sing. Traded her career for a ring. JERRY PIERCE Jerry went out on a spree, He and Donna now live in a tree. : f MELVIN HORN Who likes to play hookie, Now works at the races as a bookie. SHARON LEMITY Who used to live on Corning hill. Now has trouble paying her bills. JANET KAIDO Who carries her dinner, Has a nice husband--she picked a winner! LESTER LYTLE Lester is learning to croon, We all hope he'll give it up soon. RICHIE BERRY The ideal man, Is the engineer who rebuilt Hoover Dam. CAROL BROWNING Carol wouldn’t take anyone 's advice, She’s already been married twice. MARSHA BURNS Marsha chose a modeling career, Now she wants to catch a DEAR. CHARLES FUCHS Charlie now runs his own bus line, He seems to be getting along just fine. GENE BLOSSER The fastest guy in the nation, Now owns six filling stations. BARBARA BERNARD Who went with Curt to the drags, Now sits at home with many little Braggs. JOEY SZAKAS He wanted to roam the seas; but now. He's home busy with ten hives of bees. BARBARA WATKINS The girl without a cate; Would never change the color of her hair. Whom they call Doc Makes his money picking locks. BUTCH WALTERS Butchie now coaches for U. C. L. A. He makes $150,000 a year-which ain't hay. JANICE THEISEN Janice has really made good. She is now a big star in Hollywood. MIKE ATKINSON Who plays the sax in band, Is now panning gold in some distant land. ANDREW BRAGLIN The boy we call Jay Collects sea shells by the bay. VICKIE DAVID EIGHTH GRADE TEST WINNERS MARY For the second consecutive year a New Straitsville School pupil has won the highest honors in the county on the Eighth Grade Test. Vickie Martin scored 716 to place her in the 99th percentile in the state of Ohio. Vickie also won the Perry County Spelling Championship. David Binkley was tied for third place with a score of 657. Mary Opperman was tied for fourth place in the county with a score of 653.
