WINDLE Mr. Windle devoted his most precious years of his life as the head of the Miller City School system. Many of the educational standards of today's High School are due in large to the able and affectionate supervision of Mr. Windle in shaping the course of education during those first twenty years. Through the twenty years in which he headed the school system in the community, the standard rose to a new high. By his friendly disposition, many came to know him even though they weren't affiliated with the school in which he was superintendent. To many boys and girls he was as a foster parent. For every- one who knew him, he was a kind and sympathetic man with contemplation for everyone he associated with throughout his life. We the Senior class of 1961 wish to dedicate this annual to Mr. Joseph Windle, with profound sentiment and gratitude. It was through his interminable efforts that the educational institution of Miller City was inaugurated. We join with our earlier alumni in paying tribute to him. We are thankful for his efforts in behalf of our early history. May the memory of this jovial man be a lasting guide in the lives of those to come. EDWARD A RIEMAN Superintendent FRED M.
