Dedication We, the Senior class of 1958, take great pride in dedicating our annual to our very capable superintendent, Mr. Edward A. Rieman. Because he is willing to work and co- operate with the teachers and students he will be remembered by all graduates as the teacher who made their future life possible for them. He was born on October 13, 1913, in Deerfield, Michigan, and later moved to Glandorf where he now lives. He began his schooling in Glandorf at the age of six. After graduation in 1931 from high school, he helped his father for several years in the farming and dairy business. He also drove a school bus before he attended DeSales college in Toledo. He graduated from DeSales in 1941 with a B. S. Degree. From 1946-1950, he attended summer school at Bowling Green University. While attending Ohio Northern University from which he graduated in 1952, he received his Degree of Master of Science in Educational Administration. His career in the Army proves that he has done much for the good of the nation. Mr. Rieman entered the Army as a Private in 1941. Two and one half of his four and one half years in the Army he spent in Europe. He returned to civilian life as a Captain in 1946. After leaving the Army he became active in the Army reserve. He is now a Major with a Mobilization Designation in Military Government. On August 17, 1946, he married Ettie Mullet. They have three children, Gerald, ten years old; Kenneth, eight years old, and William, five years old. Mr. Rieman began his teaching career at Green Springs, Ohio in 1946. After teaching at Green Springs for one year, he went to Glandorf where he taught until 1956. In 1956, he accepted his present position as superintendent of schools in the Miller City - New Cleveland school district. Teaching Senior Democracy is another duty which requires much of his time and energy. The Senior class wish to thank Mr. Rieman for all he has done for them. He has done much for the improvement of all people that he has come into contact with. With his help this school has become a very efficient place in which the students will leave with a high sense of reward with which to help them in the future. 5
