Rieman. Because he is willing to work and co- operate with the teachers and students he will be remembered by all graduates as the teacher who made their future life possible for them. He was born on October 13, 1913, in Deerfield, Michigan, and later moved to Glandorf where he now lives. He began his schooling in Glandorf at the age of six. After graduation in 1931 from high school, he helped his father for several years in the farming and dairy business. He also drove a school bus before he attended DeSales college in Toledo. He graduated from DeSales in 1941 with a B. S. Degree. From 1946-1950, he attended summer school at Bowling Green University. While attending Ohio Northern University from which he graduated in 1952, he received his Degree of Master of Science in Educational Administration. His career in the Army proves that he has done much for the good of the nation. Mr. Rieman entered the Army as a Private in 1941. Two and one half of his four and one half years in the Army he spent in Europe. He returned to civilian life as a Captain in 1946. After leaving the Army he became active in the Army reserve. He is now a Major with a Mobilization Designation in Military Government. On August 17, 1946, he married Ettie Mullet. They have three children, Gerald, ten years old; Kenneth, eight years old, and William, five years old. Mr. Rieman began his teaching career at Green Springs, Ohio in 1946. After teaching at Green Springs for one year, he went to Glandorf where he taught until 1956. In 1956, he accepted his present position as superintendent of schools in the Miller City - New Cleveland school district. Teaching Senior Democracy is another duty which requires much of his time and energy. The Senior class wish to thank Mr. Rieman for all he has done for them. He has done much for the improvement of all people that he has come into contact with. With his help this school has become a very efficient place in which the students will leave with a high sense of reward with which to help them in the future. 5 J. R. Mystery In The Library The Editorial Staff of the college paper, in session on a dark and stormy night in the college library, finds itself involved in a mysterious affair which is to have national significance. The terrifying events which break up the meeting are at first credited to a fraternity initiation, then taking place in the gymnasium. Gradually it becomes apparent that some force, entirely unknown to the school, is menacing the safety of the students. The plot is logically worked out - follow- ing each clue with Dick Martin, captain of the football team and Mr. Hartman, president of the college, who solve the mystery which has baffled Federal authorities for months. Futhermore there is a delightful thread of romance running through the play, and plenty of good clean laughs to re- lieve the chills. The characters are as follows: Ellsworth Larson, Roger Lammers; Claribeth Harris, Carol Kuhlman; Dick Martin, Tom Inkrott; Jay Manson, Kenny Kern; Shorty George, Danny Lammers; Dora Dean, Sue Felter; Margaret Allison, Mary Morman; Annie Goopy, Evelyn Schroeder; President Hartman, Bob Brown; Benny Lyon, Howard Drew; Inspector Burke, Gene Liebrecht; Swenson, Ken Okuly; Electrician, Allen Warnimont; Heinrich, Gerald Weis; Two Policemen, Gary Noon and Junior Brown. Introduction by Helen Repko and Doris Ellerbrock. The Mystery Man Junior Play 36 I'll Be O. K. Are You Alright? Where Are You Taking Me? Take That Take Your Hands Off Me! Senior Play Phantom In The High School When the dramatics coach is injured in a fall on the stairs, only Mindy believes that it was not an accident. She tries to tell the principal her suspicions, but he's listened to Mindy be- fore and wou't make that mistake again! Then someone tries to steal the $300 the school has raised for the hospital. The principal blames Rick, for it's known the thief wore the Black Phantom costume which Rick wears in the school play they're rehearsing. Still, nobody believes Mindy's warnings, and she grows almost frantic as people tousle her hair and say: Run along, Miss Imagination! To make matters worse, Rick is beginning to be annoyed with Mindy and her alarms and warn- ings. Julie is doing everything she can to snare Rick and that is the last thing Mindy wants to happen. It is only when she has discovered so much that the phantom sees her as a danger and ties her up in the closet that it begins to percolate that the girl who cried wolf may actually have seen real danger this time. By now, the threat is active and deadly. It's a near thing that the phantom doesn't murder Mindy and Rick, too. The characters are as follows: Mindy, Charlotte Niese; Rick, Ron Zeigler; Julie, Dorothy Lammers; Alan, Carl Gable; Randolph, Earl Schroeder; Betty, Carolyn Brickner; Nina, Irene Schroeder; Sue, Marilyn Ellerbrock; Chuck, Elmer Lammers; Miss Harker, Judy Ellerbrock; Miss Winslow, Nancy Fortman; Mr. Gibney, Ken Vennekotter; Miss Benson, Helen Lause; Evelyn Cole, Margie Kuhlman; Lanny, Edward Schnipke; Marty Redmond, Dick Bruns; Norma Janeway, Patty Otto; Sgt. Madrigan, Bill Morman. Introduction by Robert Otto and Don Scheckelhoff. Stage managers were Louis Noirot, Robert Otto and Don Scheckelhoff. The play was under the direction of Mr. LeRoy Marquette.
