THE MILLWHEEL Page 11 Senior Class History When a small group of Freshmen entered the halls of Milledgeville High School in 1948, graduation day, June 1952, seemed far away. Little did they realize the impressions they would make and leave behind. In that first year, they elected Archie Woodin as presidentg Ray Polhill, vice president and Fred Hutchinson, secretary-treasurer. Dave Bushman and Wilma Loechel meekly carried their suggestions to the Student Council. Miss Duffelmeir served as adviser. Lois Cheeseman presided over the Class of'52 in their Sophomore year. Her assistants were: Wilma Loechel, vice presidentg and Louise Lundy, secretary-treasurerg Janice Wolf and Archie Woodin, Student Council. Miss Phyllis Sweet acted as adviser. The Class of '52 became well known during their Junior year. When it came time for the prom with their theme of A Little Bit of Heaven, these democratic petitioners wanted outside guests. After a good deal of hard work and much fast talking, they got their way. Their play, The Scarlet Shadow, was a success too. fcontinued on page 131
