O P Q W O P E, The Kaldron Staff of 1944, have tried to create a per- manent record of our activi- ties and classes. This isn't just the Senior's Yearbook. It is the record of every class in Millcreek High School and of every person in these classes. This year we have tried to refrain from editing a wartime yearbook but there are some things that we could not avoid. We would have liked to print a peacetime record, but as you know, that is impossible. We the Staff of '44, offer all our hopes and prayers that the day of victory will come soon and all of our classmates will come home once again.

gy . eclicclllion WO centuries ago, the Eriez Indians, then inhabiting Millcreek soil, sent out their warriors to fight in their defense. These young- men waged a war so that they might be free to hunt in the rich forests, which covered Millcreek, that their wives and children would be free from fear of attack by the enemy. Today, more battles are raging, many more young men from Millcreek are going out to fight in them. The war this time is on a larger scale and being fought in the 'tfour corners of the earth, but the cause for which our boys are fighting is still the same-freedom, their homes, and us. So it is in deep appreciation for what they are doing, that we, the graduating class of 1944, dedicate this Kaldron to Mili- creek's sons and daughters-fighting for us.
