DEDICATION Because we Seniors ' Wish to show the deep respect and admiration we all feel to- wards him, we have set aside this page in our yearbook as a testimonial of our esteem for this man of many facets- -humor, strict- ness, efficiency, and, most, important, understanding. The friendly smile that accompanies his firmness always assures us of sympathy and consideration. In acknowledgement of his many virtues and our affection for him, we dedicate this volume of the Laurel to our principal, Mr. F. B. Williams. Keeping a wary eye on locker regulations. A helping hand for those who need it.

FOREWORD Editor-in-Chief Like trees that have sprouted and grown in the same plot of earth, we Seniors have de- veloped a sense of warm companionship that can come only from living and working as one. Now we are about to be transplanted, out roots torn up from the plot that has nurtured us through twelve wonderful years. It is little wonder that we are reluctant to be withdrawn from the nourishing richness of our mother earth, the school. In it we were carefully placed as ten- der young shoots twelve years ago. Fed by the soil of the school and tended by the loving hands of the gardeners, our parents, we have thrived. Year after year our limbs of knowl- edge have grown larger and more numerous branching out into new and challenging fields. Proud in what we have accomplished, grateful for what we have received, we now shed our last leaf — The 59 Laurel. Advertising Manager
