79 On my way to work as a secretary for the governor, I stopped by my uncle's mountain shack to get a little swig befme beginning my day's work, Guess what I saw as I looked into the crystal cleamess of the Apple Cider Jug, nothing but Steve Barnes at his Open-Air Chicken Farm with Betty Jane Van Mater as the prettiest chick on the farm, As we look deeper into the crystal cleamess of the cider jug, we see Marsha Evans and Betty Looper teaching at Edwards Military Institute, Any particular reason, Girls!! Edith Barker now manages her own little dress shop, On her afternoons off, she shops for her wedding trousseau, When Jerry Ferguson enters his office where he practices law, he greets his effi- cient secretary, Kaye Dillard with a cheerful 'Good morning,' Now we see the courageous boys from Millbrook, Jimmy Davis and Danny Rogers defending their country with such pretty nurses as Srirley Lloyd and Betty Ruth Usher to look after them, In the Broadway lights of New York we see our own Billy Martin who is now a top TV producer, Ahhhhl Is that Peggy Cooley we see accepting the award as 'Mother of the Year' for 1965, and is that Kathleen Turner as her greatest competitor? Wait! I believe I see Marjorie Cardon buying a ticket on Edd Iohnson's powerful new streamliner, Could it be she is visiting her sweetheart at Fort Iacksonlr As we look across the beautiful Wheat and Tobacco Fields of North Carolina, we think of no one but our own Frank Quessenberry, Carl Ferguson and Gilbert Young who have contributed so much to the progress of agriculture, As an efficient secretary in the Engineering Department of State College, we see Betty Richardson with Donald Johnson as her employer, Who is that we see spinning around the block in a long gold Cadillac? Why, it's Georgia White, the wife of one of Raleigh's most prominent businessmen, As we gaze further into the clearness of the Cider jug we see Walter Haskins crowned Mr, Universe for 1970. There's Jimmy Kirkman in his beautiful new yacht beneath the Glendocks Bridge which was constructed and engineered by Clarence Bowles and Bunny Sorrell, Who is the rising new star with the golden voice in Metropolitan Opera? Could it be Nancy Newton with her accompanist, Joan Ketnet? Let us peep into the postoffice of Raleigh, N, C, where we see Harvey Crabtree as General Postmaster, As one of our leading career girls, we see Peggy Jean Norwood as a teletypsetter for a leading New Ycrk paper, She is working for the Editor's position, As I prepare to leave my Uncle's shack I take one last look into the Cider jug and what should I see but Shirley Bartholomew at the Friendly Garage as a secretary for Brutx Rogers and Allen Goodwin, who are the proprietors, FAYE LAMBETH, Prophet
