Dear Students: Please permit your principal to greet you as the most important part in the Millbrook School. Your school faculty and personnel will endeavor to befriend you, seeking to bring out the best in you and offering you an opportunity to grow and develop in every worthwhile respect. Every community needs outstanding leaders if it is to be the type of community in which we wish to live. Leadership requires enterprise, courage, vigor and preparedness. Leadership requires a program and a purpose. An education develops such qualities. Have you ever thought what life would be like if you had not gone to school? Where would you have found your friends and learned how to get along with other people? I-low would you have gained the knowledge and skill that you already have? Where would you have gained the values of co-operation, assume responsibility, practicing real true democracy, of making wise choices? Your school years should be the happiest ones of your life. In your school you meet and are associated with fine young boys and girls of your own age and with common interests. Many of the people with whom you work and play will be your friends during your entire life. Many of your teachers will have a tremendous influence upon your life after you complete your high school education. You should be very proud that you have had the opportunity to attend a growing school in a cosmopolitan area. You will want to continue to contribute to the growth and development of better public schools in our great state, but more especially you will want to contribute to your local school program. Ihave had a great deal of personal and professional pleasure in working with you in attempt- ing to help you prepare yourself for present day living as well as for future living. I sincerely hope and pray that you continue to grow in building into your life moral and spiritual values that will be a blessing to our community and to humanity. lt is my hope that our school supported by the public, can accomplish the goals that we have set out to reach in the future. I sincerely hope that you have benefited from our school program and that you will share your success with others. May God bless you eternally.
