This truly is a responsibility, but since only 2 people are chosen to fill this position each year we consider it a privilege too. We sincerely hope you enjoy The Wildcat this year as much as we have enjoyed preparing it for you, and that you ' ll rank it among the best of Millboro ' s yearbooks. From the Business Managers; We two have a responsibility, too. It is our job to see that the ads for our year- book are gotten, typed, and paid for, as well as to sell the yearbooks when completed. We take this task seri- ously, and consider it an honor. Our supporters, both old and new are always willing to help and we would like to say, thank you. Another thank you we send to our parents, teachers, and friends who buy our yearbooks, and show a genuine interest in it. Business Managers; Mollie Cauley Dorothy Kennedy Uo you, 2V: Dififeman, Is) a physical, a headache, a sore throat, a broken bone, a bloody nose, a baby’s first cry; all in a day ' s work Because of his unlimited interest in our com- munity and school, the many times he ' s gone out of his way to help us, his unselfish attitude toward life, and his ever reassuring son, you ' ll be O.K. we, the Senior Class of 1966 dedicate this edition of the Wildcat to Doctor Samuel Palmer Hileman. 3 Thomas M. Capley A message from our principal: It is the utmost concern to the administration at Millboro School to continue improving the conditions and environment of the school. We hope, through our efforts, that the school will be both favorable and conducive to good learning. May we ask the cooperation of the students, the teachers, the staff, and the people of the community in seeing, that our aim is ac- complished. With best wishes rn. Thomas M. Young people of today are the mortar and stone with which Millboro High School builds the citizens of tomorrow. The student body is larger than it has been in previous years and the senior class is better prepared. The five classes work and play together harmoniously, helping one another, and depending on their school for guidance. These students are die architects, statesmen, and doctors of tomorrow. Millboro High is building them. THE FOUNDATIONS ARE LAID Gfa DOROTHY JANE KENNEDY I like the simple things in life - boys. The year 1966 was a good year for the Sophomores of Millboro High. They really got into the swing of high school life. And meaningful activities give greater dimension to a school. Each year more and more students participate in the extra-curricular activities of Millboro High School. In striving to uphold the standards of the organizations to which they be- long, they are building integrity. Many of the school organizations present programs which are open to the community in addition to school assemblies. By taking part in ±e club projects and programs, the students are developing dependability and poise. Each program planned and project finished adds to the growth of the organization and the individual member. A strong school is made stronger by adding reinforcements which make for school unity. School sports are such braces. Millboro High School students are enthusiastically sports-con- scious. On the basketball courts the basebiU diatnond, and the track field, the repre sentattves of the school display iheir skill and sportsmtnship, Thoae who do not partici- pate are exuberant spectators and support their school teams with their presence and their cheers.
