As a token of our esteem, we dedicate the I960 edition of the Annual to Mrs. Mary Cauley, who, through patience, devotion, and guidance; helped us to reach the goal for which we have so long aspired. FOREWORD As you, the Millboro students, turn the pages of the I960 Spur, you will recall many memories of your school days and the activities of Millboro High. May these memories remain with us as the years go by and may we always remember and appreciate the efforts of the teachers who have so patiently helped us. Since Millboro was organized as a standard high school in I 9 I 6 , when the old building was erected and equipped, pro- gress has been steady. In 1918 the school was accredited by the State Board of Education. The new building and heat- ing plant were constructed in 1933. Four new departments have been added since the organization; Vocational Agri- culture, Home Economics, Business Education, and Music. Later a community cannery was put in operation. Plans are now being completed for an addition or a new building to the present plant. Millboro has sent out nearly 600 graduates during the forty- three years of its history. 3
