CLASS HISTORY In September 1946 quite a number of us entered the first grade with Miss Ada Haynes as teacher. Some came from Wiiliamsviile in 1951 and others from Burnsville in 1952. Our Elementary teachers were: Miss Ada Haynes, Miss Jessie Harouff, Miss Janet Bright (teachers aid), Mrs. Thelma McLaughlin, Miss Fortune, Mrs. Mildred Blanchard, Mrs. Marian McCray, Mrs. Virginia Deeds, Mrs. Elsie Tyree, and Mrs. Alice Hupman. We would like to thank each of you who has helped us through the years. On September 2, 1953 we entered the eighth grade. We were divided into two sections with homeroom teachers, Mrs. Mary B. Mullis and Mrs. Mary H. Cauley. H ft That year we had a new principal, Mr. Fred Knob loch, who replaced Mr. Grant Rush. Our teachers for that year were Mary Cauley and Paul Schoonover -Math.; Vida Fairchild-English; M. P. S k inn e r- English; Laird Rush- Social studies and coach; Mary B. Mullis -home economics. ■H il li ly l|p Our class officers were: President, Louise Simmons; Vice Presi- dent, Dorothy Cutlip; Secretary, Ann Barnett; Treasurer, Darlene Mar- shall; Reporter, Betty Vess. On September 1, 1954 we entered the ninth grade as Freshmen. We were divided into two sections again with homeroom teachers, Mary Mullis and Alfred Cleveland. Our other teachers were: M. P. Skinner- English; Mary B. Mullis -home economics; Mary Cauley-Math.; Alfred Cleveland -civics; Vida Fairchild - commercial; Paul Schoonover -science.
