of the National Dramatic Society this year was under the sponsorship of Mrs. Spafford and president Jim Miller. The main project of the troupe was the presentation of the an- nual Thespian play, which this year was Mrs, Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch. With Virginia Davies in the title role and a large cast composed of old Thespians and a few new comers, the play was a great success. Amid cabbages and grease paint the drama- tic society stalked away with all honors. Throughout the year the Thespians were ae- tive in staging and helping with other school productions. Ask any of the football or basketball players what they'd do without the Athletic Association. That would be hard to say since they have charge of the athletic equip- ment, the gate, receipts, etc. The Athletic Association is one of the hardest working organizations in school and our hats are off to them as they are to all the organizations who have contributed so much to life at Ge- neva llighll Junior High G. At the end of the year letters were awarded to the outstanding athletes among the girls and the name ofthe super outstand- ing' athlete was plaeed on the G. A. C. plaque in the gym. Basketball and neweombe were the main games played in girls intramurals this year. After tossing the ball baek and forth across the net for weeks and weeks Joan Critten- den's team in the senior high and Pat Mel- lon's in the junior high finally came out the winners. A wild season of basketball fol- lowed and by the end of it some of the girls aetually threatened to go out for the varsi- ty! VVhenever anyone wants anything' es- peeially well-done in the line ct' dramaties- poem reading or just standing with poisef 'll he just naturally ealls upon a Thesbian- and the Thespian's knees and voiee just na- turally shake more than anyone else's in sehool from the nerve-raeking knowledge that be should be doing better.
