At the end of the year letters were awarded to the outstanding athletes among the girls and the name ofthe super outstand- ing' athlete was plaeed on the G. A. C. plaque in the gym. Basketball and neweombe were the main games played in girls intramurals this year. After tossing the ball baek and forth across the net for weeks and weeks Joan Critten- den's team in the senior high and Pat Mel- lon's in the junior high finally came out the winners. A wild season of basketball fol- lowed and by the end of it some of the girls aetually threatened to go out for the varsi- ty! VVhenever anyone wants anything' es- peeially well-done in the line ct' dramaties- poem reading or just standing with poisef 'll he just naturally ealls upon a Thesbian- and the Thespian's knees and voiee just na- turally shake more than anyone else's in sehool from the nerve-raeking knowledge that be should be doing better.
