The Seminary We are proud, justly so we think, of the tact that we have a Seminary in our school. lts mere existence is an indication of the validity of what we consider to be a vital truth if life man's deep-rooted need for moral training and spiritual guidance. lts existence is a recognition that all the academic learning in the world, all the fruit or centuries of unceasing struggle toward knowledge is useless without implicit faith in the conception of the universal plan and an intelligence back of that plan to impart to it a significance. The total enrollment of the class this year is one hundred and seventy-five. This large enrollment shows that the students of the Millard County High School are interested in religious training and the work thereof. There will be twenty- seven graduates this year. The Seminary and the training it offers is a beacon light which leads the perplexed students through the maze of superstition and unbelief along the pathway of faith to a haven of joyous serenity. -50-

- 'A ' .4 Art Department At the close of this year the art department under the expert direction of Mr. llotfman will be prepared to exhibit one of the finest displays in the history of Millard County lligh School. More students are now enrolled for this class than ever before. We have an enrollment of sixty-three. including both boys and girls. You have no doubt heard the statement that our modern girls are not interested in home life. No man or group of men could harbor this fear for long if they once saw the Llfllllly home furnishings. The girls have made gorgeous pillows, scarfs, towels, beautiful hand-painted china dishes, leather work and basketryg and, by the way, you will be pleased to learn that this includes lunch baskets of every size and shape, fruit and flower baskets. etc. Besides these classes Mr. lloffman instructs a large class in wood-work and iron-work. The boys have made cedar chests, chairs, tables. magazine racks, and other very artistic and useful things to help furnish the home. -51-
