CLASS HISTORY In September of 1952, a group of thirty-four children enrolled as first graders at Mill Creek School. At first, we thought it would be twelve years of fun, but as we ad- vanced from grade to grade we found it would also be many years of nard work. Our first grade teacher was Mrs. Thelma Wolfe, wno taught us our numbers and our A.3.C's. During our second year of school, Miss Ruth Kerr was our teacher. Tnis year we enrolled forty-four. We learned more about numbers and started to learn now to write at the end of the year. Mrs. Florence Wilson was our third grade teacher. In this year we started learning arithmetic. In the fourth grade we started multiplication and division under Mrs. Prances Gustafson. Mrs. Bernice Hunt had to put up with us during our fifth grade year. The boys started taking an Interest in basketball this year too. In our last year on the grade side, Mr. Clarence 3arton was our teacher. This year we enrolled thirty-seven. Don Noel was our cadet teacher. By the time we entered Junior High we considered our- selves to be quite grownup, and going from class to class was a real change. Most of the boys went out for Junior High basketball, and we were considered to have a pretty good team. Mrs. Wayne Hollet was our seventh grade sponsor. In eighth grade Mrs. Marsha Jones was our sponsor. Both years we had bake sales for our class projects, and they profited well. J In I960, we started our big Freshmen year. Most of us took part in many activities. Our class officers this year were: President, Ken Hostetler; Vice-President, Dee Gray; Secretary, Carol Smith; Treasurer, Doris Smith. Mrs. Inez Smith was our sponsor. For our class project we again had a bake sale. Two of the girls in our class got the honor of running the bookstore. They were Carol Smith and Doris Smith. In our Sophomore year, we all lived dangerously, for this was the year we had driver s training with Mr. Jack Eller as our instructor. Hr. Arnold farno was our sponsor. as our class project for this year we sold Christmas Wrap- ping Paper. Doris Smith and Carol Smith were chosen as varsity cheerleaders, and Dennis Ramsey won the ping-pong championship. Sandy Aftowskl won the Chicago Tribune Award by writing an article which was on the safety of driving. Spring Fever, our Junior class play was one of the highlights this year. Mr. farno was our director and Carolyn Hunt was student director. Golden 6o s was the style of our class rings which we received in October. Ken Hostetler won the free throw and rebounding trophy, and Randy Rosenbaum won the ping-pong championship this year. Mr. and Mrs. farno were our sponsors. For our class project we sold magazines. Finally, the most exciting event of the year was the Junior-Senior Prom. It was held at the Hotel Pick-01iver in South Bend on May U, 1963. The theme was Song In My Heart.

At last we are Seniors and the twenty-two of us are awaiting the day when we will walk up the graduation aisle to receive our diplomas. This year of 1963-64 has been an exciting year with lots of fun, but also a great struggle for many of us. «Ve worked hard on our yearbook to make it a success. Our thanks go to Mr. Robert Sikorski for all his time and effort, and to Jan Replogle who was our editor. We were all proud of Fred Piotrowicz when he came in first in the County Cross Country meet this year. Mr. Eller, our sponsor, deserves a lot of credit for the help he has given us this past year.
