CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1951» forty-five mischievious young'ins entered the front doors of Mill Creek School to start their first day of class. Under the guidance and direction of Mrs. Thelma Wolfe, we learned our ABC's and numbers. The second year Mrs. Ruth Kehr had to cope with forty- five little, eager to learn minds. In third grade, Mrs. Dorthy Dunne had more problems than had the teachers before her since our enrollment had reached forty-seven. Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth grades were Just ordinary school years. Our teachers were Mrs. Gustafson, Mrs. Hunt, and Mr. Earton respectively. Seventh grade finally arrived, and we began to consider ourselves quite grown up. This seemed like a different world for we had to walk from class to class and were instructed by a different teacher for each class. Eighth grade presented a new teacher, Mr. Micheals, as our sponsor. By then our enrollment had dropped. In the seventh grade we had forty, but this showed a decline of six students bringing the enrollment down to thirty-four. Our Freshman year passed by swiftly for we began to dream of graduation. Mr. Marker was appointed to keep tags on twenty-nine frisky freshmen. Our Sophomore year was exciting because it was this year that we took driver's training and added a few gray hairs to the head of our instructor, Jack Eller. Although we were only Sophomores, we felt a little more advanced for now, to one class, we were upper classmen. Our Junior year was probably the most exciting year of all. The year was highlighted first by the ordering of our long awaited class rings, and then our Junior Play, ■THE GREEN VINE , was presented. Each person in the class played an important and active part in the play whether they were on the stage or off stage. Our prom, THE LOV- LIEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR , was held at the Spaulding Hotel in Michigan City on May 12, 1962. Each person including our sponsor, Mrs. Yarno, played an important role in pre- paring this lovely prom. SENIORS at last—finally we have reached our goal. Soon we will become the newest members of the Mill Creek Alumni Association. This year we have 19 members left. These 19 are under the guidance of Mr. Spoerner. Mr. King, along with some of the other teachers, are helping us to decide on our vocations.
