J l I SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Our Life Story in Three Acts Act I, Scene I The setting is the first grade room of M. C. G. S. in the year 1936 on a momentous day in September. The actors are four trembling first graders, Mild- red Toman, a smiling bashful child of fiveg Gordon Kay, well supplied with spitwads and sling shots with which to launch his career as a school boy, nBilly' Howe, an extremely healthy looking youngster with not a hair out of its well chosen place: and Isabelle Case, a patch on her forehead, the aftermath of a quarrel with her little sister. The ensuing events are typical of any first grad- ers experiencing their first plunge into read1n', 'ritin, and 'rithmetec. Scene II As the curtain rises we find on stage in addition to the original cast, La Verne Cas he was known thenl Lengacher, book in hand ready to answer any question he may be asked Scene III About the middle of the act, there appears on stage a blonde little girl, Ginger Vandermeer whose feelings are utterly crushed when she is first put in the second reading class She later gains her reward by being advanced to the first reading class Scene IV Amid the December snow scene, a blue eyed, blonde girl from Wisconsin is viewed mingling with the other class members who are already looking forward to the day, they too, shall enter high school and be Wall grown up Before the curtain falls La Verne leaves the act to return in a latter phase of our play SceneV Tap dancing and ballet is the main feature of the of the fifth act Girls in this act are enrolled in a dancing class when we are joined by Phyllis Anden son from McM1nv1lle who excels along this line CCont on next pagel ...-f f' f i E r !
