As The lasT chord escaped The sTage, a Thunderous applause led To a sTanding ovaTion. Two greaT performances, ToTally opposiTe wiTh one on The field and The oTher on The siage, buT eaual in excellence in Their execuiion. To presenT such perfecTion in music re- quired much pracTice. IT demanded many hours of aTTer-school rehearsals as well as nighTTime praciices. Jennifer Shi- maia, a prominenT secTion leader, de- scribed Those Trying hours as, I-loT, cold, frusTraTing, fun, producTive, grouchy buT very rewarding.
