Who Says Seniors Aren't Sdueeky Cleanf Splish splash I was taking a bath . . Make that a bubble bath a very large one with about 50 Seniors joining in. Yes, it was the free car wash service project. November 'l-4 could have been just another hot and lazy Saturday. This particular one, however, was hot alright but far from lazy. The first shift began at 9 am where hoses, tables and buckets were set-up. Banners were hung and the wash and dry section designated. As everyone settled down into position, ci desperate voice could be heard, Did anyone bring a radio? Knowing from experience that it would be a long day without one. While everyone waited for the first customers to arrive Jeff Matsumoto thought he would warm everyone up by driving a couple practice cars through. -Thanks Jeff. The cars did come as anticipated and the system went off like clock work. Wash. rinse. dry donate. According to Vilma Badua who headed the donations table, 'talmost every car that went through S gave something. All good things come to an end, The last shift left at 3:30, due to rain, with everyone signing out and coliecting their belongings as quickly as possible. Shann lkezawa, the Service Committee Chairperson, telt the activity went really well, l was happy with the turn out and everyone seemed to be having fun.
