Class Hrstory In the fall of 1954 a group of 35 shy eighth grade graduates entered the halls of MTHS The first thing we d1d as a class was to elect our class offlcers They were Presrdent Eileen Schmohe Vice President Sharon O Neal Secretary and Treasurer Wesley Glover Reporter Sug Stolts and Parlramentarran Chuck DePat1s Our Student Councrl Representative was Carol Torbet Our first lmportant event rn hlgh school was Homecoming We elected Erleen Schmohe Sharon O Neal and Carol Torbet as queen candidates We were very happy to have Sharon O Neal elected a varsity cheerleader After a short three months of summer vacation we were ready to start our sophomore year We felt qurte grown up and considered ourselves to be an lmportant part of the school Class officers were elected as follows President Sharon O Neal Vice President Terry Rrckart Secretary Sherron Crow Treasurer Eileen Schmohe Reporter Wesley Glover and Parham entarian Sug Stolts with Don Fruendt elected to be the Student Council Representatrve When Homecoming rolled around we chose June Pentecost and Cyndy Ferdinand as queen candldates and Jerry O Brren and Chuck DePat1s as king candidates We were very thrllled when our float We re In The Pink received f1rst prize rn the parade We were very pleased to have Erleen Schmohe along wrth Sharon elected as Varsity cheerleaders In May we chose our class rings from Jostens In August of 56 we became known as the 27 Jolly Juniors Elected as officers were President Terry Rlckart Secretary Eileen Schmohe Treasurer Sherron Crow Reporter Shar on O Neal Parlramentanan Don Fruendt Student Council member Erleen Schmohe We were very surprised at the arrival of our class rings on our f1rst day back to school Preparation was lmmedrately begun for I-lomecommg which was set for October 5 We picked the theme Farryland Queen candrdates were Sherron Crow Mary Ann Larrd and Beverly Garrelts Elected for another year of cheerleading were Eileen and Sharon On May 17 we held our Prom Cavalcade of Pastels We were now ready to be called Sophrstrcated Seniors All of us realrzed that we had only one short year in which to enjoy ourselves at MTHS Class offrcers are President Jerry O Brlen Vice Presldent Charles Mann Secretary Sug Stolts Treasurer Sherron Crow Re porter Donna Smlth Parlramentarran Don Fruendt and Gerald Evans Student Councrl mem ber At Homecoming Cyndy Ferdmand was chosen Queen It was an honor to have a mem ber of our class grven thrs trtle Our float Up And Atom won second place Agarn E11 een and Sharon were elected Varsity cheerleaders Before we knew ll rt was t1me to make plans for our graduatlon Semor pictures were t1ken announcements were chosen a com pany was selected from which to order our caps and gowns and we planned our Semor Trip Class Song fTo the tune of I ll Be Seeing You J No more will I be seeing you In all the old familiar places All the old familiar faces That I know All my classmates and my friends Will have gone on therr separate ways But I w1l1 think of them again I know I ll see you rn my memones And when my dreams come true I ll be lrvrnr, 1n a different world But I ll remember you JURGEN TRUMANN MILFORD MOTEL Rmglers Prop Milford, Illrnois Modern Units Radio, Television, and Whirlpool Appliances Route l Phone Tu 9 4555
